Childproof bottle top - has flared skirt with stops engaged by stops on bottle neck, disengaged by finger pressure

The security capsule for the top of a bottle has an internally threaded top part below a flared skirt, so that it has an increased overall length. The bottle neck carries a two start thread (3) above a tapered neck (4) matching the length of the skirt. At the bottom of the neck are two vertical stops (7) on opposite sides, and the capsule has two longer stops extending almost the whole depth of the skirt, below its internal threads. The two sets of stops are intended to prevent removal of the capsule by a young child, and they are disengaged by pressure against the sides of the skirt so that it is distorted into an oval shape, combined with an unscrewing action. The pressure regions are indicated by serration on the outside of the skirt.
