1. An ion exchange membrane comprising:
a cation exchange resin material; and a macromolecular material that has an acidic functional group and is mixed in the cation exchange resin material, wherein the acidic functional group is a sulfone group, a contained amount of the macromolecular material in terms of a weight ratio in the cation exchange resin material and the macromolecular material is 5% or more and 25% or less, the macromolecular material having the acidic functional group has an ion exchange capacity as an IEC value of 2 meq/g or more and the cation exchange resin material has an ion exchange capacity as an IEC value of 0.9 to 1.5 meq/g, and the macromolecular material has a molecular weight of 10,000 or more.
