Illumination installation for e.g. trees - has intermittently functioning light fittings whose flickering periods differ from each other

The installation is particularly intended for Christmas trees in public places, gardens, parks etc. A number of electric light fittings are distributed over the trees etc. as decorative elements. The light fittings are of flickering type. However, the flickering sequences and periods of the individual light fittings are different and follow a random pattern. The individual light fittings preferably have a constant frequency, e.g. 0.5 to 3 Hz. Typically an electronic oscillation circuit is used for generating the flickering sequence pulses. Alternately an oscillation circuit may be associated with each individual light fitting. The frequency range may differ with individual light fittings by 10%, due to production tolerances of switching elements. Instead of a common power supply via a cable, an independent current source may be associated with each light fitting.
