A system is disclosed for direct attachment of a window pane (10, 11, 12) preferably by adhesive means, to the exterior of the either fixed or movable supporting structure in contiguous and coplanar relationship with adjacent window panes and/or with vehicle body parts (13) which are not covered by said window panes (10), to thus create a glazed surface which is free of raised and/or recessed surface breaks.
