In a curtain wall with a supporting skeleton of continuous posts and of transoms connected at right angles to these via coupling pieces, and with plate-shaped facade elements (4) inserted into the skeleton spaces and retained in a clamping manner in these, each post and transom having a section aluminium bar (5, 6; 7, 8) facing the room and facing the outside which, separated from one another by an insulating web (9; 10), are each equipped with a bearing rebate (5a, 6a; 7a, 8a) for the clamped edge of the associated facade element (4), the screwless connection between the post and transom is obtained by the following features: a) the section aluminium bar (7, 8) of the transom facing the room and facing the outside and the section aluminium bar (6) of the post facing the outside are of approximately T-shaped cross-section, the T bar forming two of the said bearing rebates (6a; 7a, 8a) whilst the insulating web (9; 10) is fastened in the T foot; b) the section aluminium bars (8) of the transom facing the outside are made in two parts, the two sectional parts (8b, 8c) being connected positively (11) to one another, and the parting plane being in the T foot; c) a horizontal bearing surface (2a) of a tile (2) serves as a support for the two ends of the mutually aligned transoms to be connected to the post; d) the tile (2) engages in at least one cutout (14, 15) in the post for its vertical fixing. <IMAGE> |
