<p>A method and a coupling for interconnecting load transmitting members (12, 13) such as a ribbed reinforcement bar (13) and the end socket of a concrete pile by means of a connecting sleeve (14) insertable between said members. The object is to provide a connection which is at least as strong as the bar. This has been attained by pressing the connecting element (14) endwise into the space (17) between the members (12, 13) so that the material of the connecting element (14) will be permanently deformed and will adapt to the outer and inner form, respectively, of said members and will completely fill the opening (17), exerting a radial pressure on said members (12, 13).</p> |
