PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing polyester by which granular or powdery polyester can be obtained: and to provide a method for producing a molded body using polyester obtained by the method for producing polyester.SOLUTION: A method for producing polyester comprises a process of performing ring-opening polymerization of a cyclic compound at a temperature which is equal to or higher than a melting point of the cyclic compound and allows formation of polyester due to the ring-opening polymerization, and under the condition where the cyclic compound is dispersed in a solvent being not compatible with the cyclic compound. The ring-opening polymerization is preferably performed in reverse micelle. The method for producing a molded body comprises a process of molding polyester obtained by the method for producing polyester without pelletizing the polyester.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
