<p>A method suitable to the formation of a numerical control tape used when a 3-dimensional curved article, e.g. a 3-dimensional mold or the like, is machined under numerical control. This method includes a step of determining points Pi(i=1, 2,...) corresponding to the points Qi(i=1, 2,...) on the second sectional curve or reference curve, thereby forming intermediate curves in accordance with the correspondence. The curved surface is formed by a plurality of assemblies of the intermediate curves. Thus, the degree of freedom of forming the curved surface can be improved, a curved surface with minute variations can be accurately formed, and accordingly an article with a 3-dimensional surface can be accurately formed.</p> |
