A strip of an ionically permeable material (45) is wound round the lateral edges of the electrodes (30) having connecting lugs (30a), by going from the central electrode towards the peripheral electrodes, so that a sheet of this material separates the adjacent electrodes. Once the set is completed, the strip (45) is cut and soldered with the aid of a heating wire (41). The edges of the sheets of strip adjacent to the lower edges of the electrodes 30 are brought together either by a layer of thermoplastic material or by soldering all the sheets gathered one against another. In order to manufacture this electrode set two templates (27, 28) are used to position the connecting lugs for the positive, respectively negative electrodes, and these templates are rotated step by step in order to wind up the strip (45) and at the same time set down the positive and negative electrodes. <IMAGE> |
