PURPOSE:To increase a communicating area and enable to supply sufficient gas by a method wherein one ends of a plurality of gas supply passageways are formed so as to have groove shapes while the other ends thereof are formed so as to be holes having circular sections, in the titled device employed for the manufacture of fluorescent lamp or the like. CONSTITUTION:When a sealing work is begun and a rotary spider 2 is rotated continuously together with a horizontal shaft 1, a movable center valve 5 is also rotated in the same direction in synchronizing therewith. Then, a gas supply hole 14 moves sequentially on the gas supply passageways 10 while the fuel gas is supplied to a sealing burner under a condition wherein the supply hole 14 and the supply passageway 10 are opposed to coincide and both of them are communicated. In this case, extended grooves 11 are provided on both of the ends of the respective gas supply passageways 10 so as to make both end surfaces of the supply passageways 10 linear configuration, therefore, the overlapping part between both ends of the supply passageways and the supply hole 14 is increased and the passage areas of the supply passageways 10 and the supply hole 14 are increased. According to this method, the supply of sufficient fuel gas to the gas supply hole 14 may be continued. |
