In the case of a plug connection, contact shoes which are constructed with front vanes (12) and rear vanes (21) are inserted into a housing (15). Guide elements (19) are constructed in the housing, consist of elastic material and, after insertion of the metallic contact shoe, prevent said contact shoe being able to be rotated in the housing or pulled out again. The rear vanes (21) run at right angles to the front vanes (12) and engage in recesses at the rear end of the housing (15). The front cylindrical region of the contact shoe is constructed with sprung vanes (14) which ensure that a contact plug is retained firmly in the contact shoe. Projections (16 and 17) are constructed on the side surfaces of the housing (15) in such a manner that two identically designed housings can be plugged together and in such a manner that a housing can be inserted into a correspondingly designed receptacle.
