<p>The tap partic. for dispensing beer, has a piston rod reciprocating in a cylinder forming an extension of the inlet passage as far as a nozzle connected to the side of the passage, so that when shut the piston head on the rod shuts off the nozzle from the passage, and at the same time connects it to an air inlet. The piston rod has an axial aperture and lateral openings on opposite sides of an annular seal on the outside of the rod leading to the aperture. In the shut position, the openings (10) on the side of the ring towards the piston (7) are connected to the nozzle (6), and those on the other side to the air inlet (8).
