PURPOSE:To improve the measuring accuracy of a flow rate, by changing the direction of the flow of fluid in a pair of cylinders wherein the balls which are moved together with the fluid is provided, detecting the moving speed of the balls, and computing the result. CONSTITUTION:Liquid fuel is supplied from a fuel tank 18 through a fuel pump 19, a fuel filter 20, and a fuel pipe 28 and consumed in a carburetor float chamber 21 through a port A, a cylinder 23, and a port B. The remaining fuel returns to the fuel tank 8 through a port C, a cylinder 25, a port D, and a pipe 29. At this time, the balls 30 and 31 are moved to the left. An FF 55 is set by detected signals of light receiving elements 39 and 43. The flow in the cylinders 23 and 25 is changed from the left to the right through a solenoid 27 and spools 44 and 45. The balls 30 and 31 are moved, and counters 61 and 58 count the pulses of an oscillator 57 through FFs 60 and 56 based on the signals of the light receiving elements 39 and 43. When the balls 30 and 31 reach the left ends 32 and 34, the counting is stopped, and the flow rate is computed. |
