A method of sealingly engaging a plastics moulding (6) with a metal substrate (1) comprises the steps of applying a coating (2) of a plastics material to the substrate; enclosing the coating of plastics material in a mould (4); and introducing a fluent plastics material (6) into the mould to become sealingly bonded to the coating (2). Examples include a plastics support on a metal surface, a closure for a tube; and a plastics plug extending through and sealing an aperture in a can body. <IMAGE> |
