The head for an oxy-acetylene cutter is attached to a handle with connections for the two supply lines at the bottom and control valves at the junction between them. Between the junction zone and an angled top terminating in a jet are concentric tubes for the gases, discharging into an inner tube at an angle to them, terminating in the jet. At the junction zone, the concentric tubes carry a set of sealing rings permitting the whole section to rotate axially. Behind the tubes is a spring loaded ball valve controlled by an operating trigger to regulate the oxygen supply. Behind this valve is a threaded connection between two concentric tubular parts, with a locking cap around the outside, forming the connection with the handle, and incorporating sealing rings.
|
