<p>A process for the extraction of sennosides from senna folioles and follicles, comprising the rapid exhaustion of the plant by means of cold water, in a neutral or slightly alkaline medium, followed by acidification and extraction with butanol. This process minimizes oxidation and hydrolysis of the product and achieves improved yields and purity.</p> |
