PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceptor capable of fixing, hardening, and stabilizing a photsensitive material to and on the surface of a cylinder with heat produced by supplying electric current through a lower layer. CONSTITUTION:The surface layer 1 of a cylinder is formed by using a conductive resin having 1-10<3>OMEGA electric resistivity, obtained by dispersing carbon powder into a curable type phenol resin, or the like, and under this layer, an insulating layer 2 having 10<7>-10<9>OMEGA resistivity is formed using bakelite, acrylic resin, polyethylene, or the like, and under this layer a lower layer 3 is formed using a conductive resin having 10<1>-10<4>OMEGA resistivity, and electrodes 4 are incorporated with this layer 3. A photosensitive material is coated on the cylinder thus formed, voltage is applied to the electrodes 4 to supply current through the layer 3. The photosensitive material is hardened with heat produced by the current to form a photosensitive layer, and when needed, an insulating layer is formed to obtain an intended electrophotographic receptor. |
