<p>The system of firing explosive charges in sequence, as in 2825742, uses a connecting wire bent into a figure of eight shape, arranged adjacent to a set of wires similarly bent. Each figure of eight has wire turns wound round the crossing point, and has a charge connected inside one loop. The loops in a line are alternatively empty and filled by a charge. Each charge has a cylindrical casing (7) divided into two by a steel plug (1), with the secondary charge (8) below it. Inside the plug is a cavity (2) with the primary charge (5) inside, and a layer (6) dividing the two charges. A hole (4) through the plug, connects the primary charge with the chamber above, containing the igniter charge (11).</p> |
