The present invention relates to an electrical supplementary device for illumination systems, in particular on bicycles. This object is achieved in that a supplementary device according to the invention, consisting of an electrical charge store with a very high capacitance (for example 1-10 farad) and a rectifier for separating charge store and generator is added to an illumination system with generator.
