A distributed loop antenna is embodied in a flexible cable structure for submarine E.L.F. (extremely low frequency) radio reception. Several distributed loop and magnetic core configurations which provide "side-looking" reception are described, as is the ability of flexible distributed loops to minimize the induction of noise voltages in the antenna.
