The invention relates to a work-holding and work-changing device for workpieces to be machined under vacuum in an electron-beam machining unit. In order to permit more efficient machining of the workpieces, a work-holding plate (10) is provided which is arranged coaxially over a rotary table (16) and can be set in rotation by the latter by means of frictional connection and in which work holders (12) lying at a uniform distance apart on a circular arc are arranged. The work holders (12) are designed as spindles which are rotatably mounted in the work-holding plate (10) and can be driven by the spindle (15) rotating with the rotary table (16). <IMAGE>
