The ball-joint comprises an outer shell coupled to the driven shaft and with balls between it and the inner shell inside it coupled to the driving shaft to transmit the torque. The inner shell (3) contains meridional grooves (5) at regular intervals round the periphery and accommodating balls (6). Part-spherical intermediate shells (7) mounted on the inner one have meridional ball grooves (8) in their side towards it and above the grooves in it, while on the outside they have spherical humps (9). The latter fit in sockets in keys (10) working in grooves (11) in the cylindrical outer shell. Springs (12) on an end wall (13) act against the keys.
