Underground, coal is conveyed away in scraper-flight conveyors with round-link chains according to DIN 22252 to which the scrapers are screwed. The scraper has a rigid construction, i.e. it is forged and is therefore in one piece. It is not flexible. If the scraper is ever distorted, it has to be dismantled. The invention shows a scraper which consists of a spring assembly, the centre spring being pushed onto the round-link chain laterally, and the springs lying in front of and behind it being pushed onto the round-link chain from below and from above. The flexibility of the scraper spring assembly protects the round-link chain, and smoother running of the chain belt is ensured. <IMAGE>
