摘要 A single-plate friction clutch for motor vehicles has an axially displaceable driving plate which carries the friction facings and, at its hub, is connected in torsionally rigid fashion by splines to the correspondingly splined driving shaft of the operating mechanism. In the engaged state of the clutch, the axis of the driving plate hub forms an acute angle with the axis of the driving shaft of the mechanism, such that the backlash between the driving plate hub and the driving shaft of the mechanism is compensated. By configuring the single-plate friction clutch in this way the backlash between the driving plate of the clutch and the driving shaft of the operating mechanism is only eliminated in the engaged state of the clutch. Rattling noises in the idling phase of the engine are thereby advantageously avoided. As soon as the declutching process is initiated, the backlash comes fully into effect again, with the result that smooth disengagement and reengagement of the clutch continue to be ensured.
