The system includes a control processor, a tape recording a main numerical control program, a tape recording user's macro, and a memory for storing a numerical control program read from the tape. A user's macro register memory stores a number of user's macros read from the tape and a shape data memory stores the display data of the shape pattern responsive to the respective macros. Thus, the display data of predetermined shape pattern is read from the memory by a user's macro command, and is displayed on a display unit. An executable user's macro is completed by the editing function of the processor with the user's macro and the variable, and numerical control processing can be performed on the basis of the completed user's macro.
