PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING OF CASELESS SAUSAGE

A reusable, tublar sausage casing includes a PTFE membrance mounted in a cylindrical support. The membrane has nodes interconnected by fibrils and has sufficient porosity to vent steam released during cooking the sausage meats. The surface texture prevents the extrusion of solids and provides for the ease release of the sausage product. The PTFE has good thermal stability (-20-250≦̸C), antichemical property and no deterioration by high frequency heater.
