The light-weight hall is intended to cover sports grounds and open- air grounds of all types. It consists of a portal frame (32) which is firmly and undisplaceably connected to a first supporting arch (33) via wind bracing (43). Arranged parallel to the first supporting arch is a second supporting arch (34), it being possible to change the mutual spacing between the supporting arches (33, 34). The light- weight hall is preferably divided into two halves and is separable in the middle so that the supporting arches can move relative to one another. Hold-off devices (50) are arranged between the supporting arches (33, 34) in such a way that, when pushing the supporting arches (33, 34) together, the hold-off device (50) with its headpiece (20) can move outwards and presses the canvas cover stretched over the supporting arches of the light-weight hall outwards, so that a jamming of the canvas cover between the supporting arches (33, 34) and damage to it on the travelling gear (41) of the supporting arches are prevented.

|
