PURPOSE:To perform photo coupling efficiently and highly accurately and achieve the reduction in assembling time by fitting and fixing metal parts to the resin covering layer by leaving a specified distance from the end parts of optical fibers and mounting this fiber structural body to the connector body. CONSTITUTION:Fixing metal parts 30, 40 are respectively fitted and fixed in the positions of the specified distance A from the end parts to the outer side of the covering layers 101 of optical fibers 10, 20. Next, this structural body of the optical fibers 10, 20 is mounted to the connector body 50, wherein the structural body of the optical fibers is inserted, from both end faces, into the connector fitting 51 which is provided with screw thread 511 as a force detaining means and has recesses 512 of the respectively specified depths from both end faces and which is of the construction wherein both recesses 512 communicate with each other in the hole 513 at the center of the bottom of said recesses 512. Next, cap nuts 52 as force detaining means are screwed from both sides of the connector fitting 51, whereby the fixing metal parts are pressure fixed toward the bottom of the connector fitting 51. |
