PURPOSE:To obtain a discharge tube, which has a stabilized firing potential and an excellent electric characteristic, by using an iron-nickel alloy coated with cobalt as a line electrode body or an earth electrode body. CONSTITUTION:Line electrode bodies 21 and 22 are made of an iron-nickel alloy (the 42 alloy), and coated with cobalt films 23 and 23'. An earth electrode body 24 is made of an iron-nickel alloy (the 42 alloy) in the same manner as the line electrode bodies 21 and 22, and coated with a cobalt film 23''. Ring-like insulating spacers 25 and 26 are made of an alumina ceramic. Silver solder layers 27 are used for airtightly sealing between the spacers 25 and 26 and the line electrode bodies 21 and 22 or the earth electrode body 24. Owing to such a constitution, a discharge tube containing gas, which has a stabilized firing potential and a good electric characteristic, can be obtained. |
