<p>Contact pads (14,16) are capable of being connected to a central terminal (12) under the action of one or other of two push-keys (5,6). A springy-metal blade (2) has a curved central portion which rocks about the central contact pad. The base-plate (4) has a rigid rectangular boss (41) which is located within the rectangular recess of a rigid rocking armature (3). The armature is contact with the flexible metal blade (2) at its corner points. When either button is pushed, against the action of its return spring (7,8), it tips on side of the armature up, causes the flexible blade to be deformed against the rigid armature, and results in a bridge between the central and opposite outside contacts. The rigid armature rocks about the fixed boss. Pressing both buttons simultaneously causes the armature to rest in a horizontal position without primary bridging contacts with either side.</p> |
