A housing for a burner, operated with hot air, for glass melting furnaces, heat treatment furnaces or the like, consists of a pot which is arranged on a burner plate (2) and is provided with thermal insulation (7, 10), the bottom (14) of which is passed through by a nozzle connection and on which a connection piece (6) for a hot-air supply line is provided. A burner housing is to be produced, which, even with outer thermal insulation, reliably withstands preheating air temperatures of approximately 800 DEG C in spite of additional heat supply from the furnace body. Additionally, the burner housing is to be economically manufacturable and more easily adaptable to the conditions at the installation site. To achieve this aim, it is envisaged that the housing is formed in a multipart manner from a sheet-metal casing (1), from a tubular moulded body (7) made of heat-resistant material which is insertable in the sheet-metal casing (1), from a cover (10) which can be located on the rear end of the moulded body (7) and is moulded from heat-resistant material, and from a front metal nozzle connection plate (14). <IMAGE> |
