The attachment device for a shutter (12) on a housing (1) of a domestic apparatus consists of a mounting plate (3) which is firmly arranged on the housing frame and supports retaining lugs (4) in which profiled sections are provided for the insertion of shutter holders (8) such that they can be displaced but cannot rotate. The mounting plate has centring openings (5) into which pins (13) of the shutter can be inserted in order to centre it. The shutter is attached to the mounting plate in a manner which compensates for tolerances, by means of screws (14) which can be screwed through holes in the shutter holder, the shutter holders sliding so far outwards in the profiled sections of the retaining lugs during the screwing process that shutter holder flanges (11) come to rest on the inside of the shutter end wall, as stops. <IMAGE>
