The instrument is for the radiography, controlled by closed-circuit television, of the best position and direction for puncture or tapping. It consists of a guide formed by two half-cylinders (4) joined together and opaque to X-rays, and with a central aperture for the passage of these rays and subsequently of the needle used. The guide is extended by a grip so that the hand of the user can be kept clear of the rays. This grip also allows the two half-cylinders to be moved together and apart. The grip can be formed by pincers, each arm of which accommodates one half-cylinder.
