Demountable living containers are being used to an ever increasing extent. A contributory factor in this is that such containers can be transported very quickly and without complications using container-transport facilities which are available worldwide. This advantage is further increased since the living containers are demountable and stackable in the smallest space in the demounted state. However, the furniture, in particular the provision of a sanitary block - toilet, shower and wash basin - as well as the cooker/sink combination is an obstacle to this storage in the smallest space. To be able to transport the non-collapsible furniture, as well as the parts of the sanitary block, nevertheless compressed as far as possible, it is proposed according to the invention that the sanitary block including the cooker/sink combination be an inherently rigid annexed unit which can be attached to the end face of the mounted container and forms an independent transport unit likewise adaptable to the container dimensions. <IMAGE>
