1. An image pickup device comprising:
an imaging unit configured to receive and photoelectrically convert incident light; an analog to digital conversion unit configured to convert an analog image signal output from the imaging unit to digital image data; a storage unit configured to store digital image data of at least one frame converted by the analog to digital conversion unit; and a generating unit configured to generate digital image data of a moving image from digital image data of a still image, wherein, in a case where a still image is captured while a moving image is being captured by using the image pickup device, the digital image data of the still image are stored in the storage unit, and the digital image data of the moving image are output before the digital image data of the still image.
