PURPOSE:To reduce the required processing time, to improve the reliability and to make the maintenance easy, by processing the DC/AC erastion of a magnetic disc to be checked at the same time with other sequences. CONSTITUTION:DC ERASE is performed in synchronization with TEST MISS/ MOD, the rotating waiting time exclusive for DC erasing is eliminated and the required sequence is executed in a cycle of 5 revolutions. The AC ERASE is a sequence in which the AC is erased by using an erasing head 2 in synchronization with the SEEK for positioning, it is performed at the same time as the error check operation without requiring the special time for the AC erasion, the processing time is reduced, the SN ratio is improved by performing the AC erastion during the test sequence, allowing to improve the accuracy of failure check. Residual noises are completely erased and erroneous detection is prevented. |
