Date Oct. 2, 1980.In a liquid crystal display panel in which a plastic film provided with a transparent conductive film is used as a panel substrate, the liquid crystal display panel having an orientation treated film mainly of a saturated polyester or a low melting point copolymerized nylon, and a process for its production. This invention enables the use of a transparent plastic film as a substrate for a liquid crystal display panel, thereby permitting inexpensive mass production of high quality liquid crystal display panels.
