PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of printing by using a system in which the type selecting operation and printing operation of a type head wheel are made in a steady rotation state and printing is made by rotationally moving a type roller provided on the peripheral edge to the position to be printed. CONSTITUTION:When a type head wheel 4 turns and a carriage 3 stops at a printing position, a type roller 11 to be printed is concurrently selected by a pulse signal by a photo sensor 19 while it is kept in the steady rotation state. Then, a print solenoid 14 is excited to push the type roller 11 by a hammer 13 when it passes through the position to be printed of a printing paper P. Printing is then made by pushing an ink ribbon 15 while repeating the feeding of the carriage and the operation of the hammer. Thus, the noise of printing can be greatly reduced and thereby the needs for expensive servo motor and its peripheral circuits can be eliminated. |
