PURPOSE:To reduce the cost, size, weight of a power converter with a simple structure by providing forcibly converting means for a power inverter, thereby inverting without error without depending upon an AC power source voltage. CONSTITUTION:When a load side DC voltage 6 is not higher than the prescribed value, transistors 24a, 24b are turned OFF, thereby phase controlling as a power reactor diodes 24c, 24d and an AC/DC converter 23, supplying power from an AC power source 1, and enhancing the DC voltage 6. When the voltage 6 is not lower than the prescribed value, the transistors 24a, 24b are turned ON, thereby phase controlling as a power invertr the AC/DC converter 23, supplying power from the load 5 side through the power inverter to the power source 1 and lowering the voltage 6. |
