摘要 PURPOSE:To decrease the number of signal lines and at the same time to simplify the constitution of a gradation signal producing circuit, by applying (n) types of luminance modulating pulses to the gradation signal producing circuit via (n) pieces of signal lines. CONSTITUTION:The data D1-D4 delivered from an A/D converting circuit are fed to a shift register 21 and then transferred to a buffer register 221. These data held at the register 21 are fed to an AND circuit 235 via OR circuits 231- 234 and together with luminance modulating pulses P1-P4. The output of the circuit 235 is read into an FF236, and the output of the FF236 is supplied to a reset terminal R of an FF237. The FF237 is set with a latch pulse phiL, and the FF236 is rest with the pulse phiL respectively. Then the output of the FF237 is read into an FF238 and then supplied to an analog multiplexer 25 in the form of a gradation signal Si. The multiplexer 25 decode the signal Si and a frame pulse phif and selects successively voltages V5-V0 of plural levels to obtain a signal electrode driving signal Yi.
