摘要 PURPOSE:To uniformize the thickness of a phosphor film as well as to aim at the elimination of unevenness in the luminance of a phosphor, by applying the paste made up by mixing and kneading negative type sensitive resin and the phosphor to the top of a transparent electrode, while forming a phosphor screen in a way of exposing the paste to light from the side of a base plate after drying and solidifying it. CONSTITUTION:First of all, a transparent electrode 2 to be turned to an anode later is made up on a glass base plate 1. Then, the paste made up by mixing and kneading negative type sensitive resin and a phosphor is screen-printed on this transparent electrode 2, and a phosphor layer is formed up in this manner. Furthermore, this phosphor layer is dried for the specified period of time and, after the paste is solidified, it is exposed to the parallel rays of light from the side of the glass base plate 1. For your information, it is allowable that such a phosphor screen as being just like in mask form is produced with a mask used at the time of its exposure process. In addition, if the amount of exposure is taken too much, light goes into the inner part of the phosphor layer so that if development takes place as it is, a fairly thick phosphor will remain there but when the amount of exposure is reduced to some extent, a thin, uniform phosphor layer can be secured.
