PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of cooling performance of a transformer even if the surface of the heat pipe in condensating side is partly filled with insulation gas by providing said heat pipe of which one end is hermetically guided into a tank while the other end outside of the tank. CONSTITUTION:Vapor of coolant gives heat to a heat pipe 8 when it comes into contact with said heat pipe within a tank 3, then is condensated and liquefied again. When such circulation continues, the insulation gas exists at the upper side of tank 3 with comparatively high concentration while the vapor of coolant at the lower side of tank 3 also with comparatively high concentration, respectively. Thereby, the vapor of coolant is furiously condensated at the lower part of heat pipe 8 and heat is supplied to the heat pipe 8. Since a heat pipe 8 is a heat transferring body having very good thermal conductivity, heat is transferred to an external heat radiating fin 9 loaded to the heat pipe 8 and is then released to the open air, cooling an iron core 1 and a winding 2. |
