PURPOSE:To realize the reduction in size of a transformer as a whole through the short insulating distance between the end of winding and other material grounded to the earth potential by forming a head of cooling duct with an insulating material. CONSTITUTION:The coolant flowing into a head 16 at the lower end of cooling duct 9 from an insulating pipe 14 is speed-adjusted by the head 16, distributed uniformly to the entire circumference of the cooling duct 9, caused to flow into the head 16 at the upper end of cooling duct 9 after flowing through each coolant path 18, collected from the entire circumference of each coolant cooling duct 9 and finally outflows into the insulating pipe 14. This cooling duct 9 is formed by metallic material for assuring thermal conductivity between panels 15, 15 and wirings 4, 5. But since the heads 16, 16 located at the edges of wirings 4, 5 are formed with an insulating material, the heads 16, 16 are capable of providing a short insulating distance for the other material without deteriorating electrical field at the edges of wirings 4, 5 for the other materials such as an iron core 1 and the core clamp 20 which are set to the earth potential. |
