PURPOSE:To reduce the coefft. of friction of the sliding body of a magnetic head, by forming a film or films of an org. material or an org. material contg. an inorg. material on a prescribed part or all of prescribed parts of the sliding body which moves in contact with a magnetic recording medium or slides in a floated state. CONSTITUTION:A film 10A or films 10C are formed on a prescribed part or all of prescribed parts of the sliding body 1-3 or 1-4 of a magnetic head made of an inorg. material such as alumina or barium titanate or a ferromagnetic material such as ferrite. The film 10 is made of an org. material such as trifluoroethylene resin or vinylidene chloride resin diluted with a solvent or an org. material contg. an inorg. material such as epoxy resin contg. 40% graphite. Thus, the coefft. of friction is reduced, and the damage of the medium and head is prevented. |
