PURPOSE:To facilitate trimming and not to produce cupper powder or so apt to scatter by a method wherein after energizing jointed wires to heat and press them, one electrode is replaced by a burr finishing die and then axial pressure is aplied again to remove those burrs which were caused by pressure jointing. CONSTITUTION:After energizing coductors 1a, 1b to heat and joint them under pressure, clamp cylinders 4a, 4b and a pressing cylinder 6 for pressure jointing are released from pressure. Then, an electrode part 3a mounted to an axially movable retaining clamp 2a is detached therefrom and instead a die 9, which has the end shaped into the sharpened form suitable for removing burrs and slotted in size slightly larger than the conductors having been jointed under pressure, is mounted to the retaining clamp 2a. With the position of burrs flown out due to pressure jointing being located near the die 9 thus mounted, the clamp cylinders 4a, 4b are operated. Upon operation of the pressing cylinder 6 for pressure jointing, the retaining clamp 2a and hence the die 9 move axially to cut burrs 7. |
