PURPOSE:To eliminate the part where resin is not impregnated by a method wherein a winding die is arranged to have a variable radial length, while an insulator with good resin impregnation property is wound around the outer periphery of the winding die, and resin is then impregnated after providing a pluality of tubular coils over the insulator. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of spacer rods 10 are arranged in a circumferential direction with an appropriate pitch, and an iron plate 11 is provided outside of those rods 10 to secure them to a rectangular container 9. The iron plate 11 is divided into four parts along the circumference of the rectangular container 9 with appropriate intervals for allowing resin to be easily impregnated at the four corners. A porous insulator 12 with good resin impregnation property is wound round over the winding die and, outside of this insulator, conductors 13 are wound n sequence via interlayer insulators 14 and a coil end pad 15 to form an inner coil 16. On the outer side of this inner coil 16, an outer coil 18 is arranged via a main gap 17 to constitute a blank coil. In the state the blank coil remains wound around the winding die, resin is impregnated under vacuum pressurizing and then cured by heating while rotating the coils to prevent the leakage of the resin. A resin molded coil is then obtained by removing the winding die. |
