The present invention provides a door safety system against break-ins, the following being recommended: the mounting of a lock plate (1) on the door frame, which can consist of one, two, three or even four metal plates which are provided with screw holes (5) for the purpose of screwing in said door frame and which are fastened in such an arrangement that the highest possible strength is guaranteed. This invented lock plate contains, furthermore, one or more pins (9) which are each guided by a compression spring (13) and which so connect the door leaf (7) and the door frame (36) as to guarantee that the door will close without the noise which could be caused by the inaccurate fitting of the door leaf in the door frame. Said pins can also be attached outside the lock plate along the door frame. The fitting of a safety mechanism containing the pin, shown at (35), which is preferably attached behind the latch of the door handle on the inside of the door leaf, that is to say inside the dwelling, and which is introduced with its tip (21) into the clearance provided for it in the latch (30), secures the latter, so that it cannot be opened. Release is obtained by displacing an existing knob (29) to the right, so as to displace an element (27) which normally holds said pin within the clearance of the latch (30), with the result that the pin is freed under the effect of the spring (24) and assumes the released position. <IMAGE>
