This connector 1 comprises an insulating tubular body 4 on the inside of which is slidably mounted a contact member 9 to which is soldered a connecting wire 3 which leaves the body 4 via a hole 6 made in one of its ends. A spiral spring 11, compressed between this end and the contact member 9, pushes the said member in the direction of a cut-out 8 produced in the lateral wall of the body 4. The connector 1 is laterally engaged on the needle 2, by pulling on the wire 3 so as to draw back the contact member 9 and to permit the needle 2 to be inserted into the cut-out 8. Next, since the wire 3 is slack, the contact member 9 is applied by the spring 11 to the needle 2, which becomes locked in place in the bottom of the cut-out 8. <IMAGE>
