PURPOSE:To obtain a tape recorder which procides excellent dubbing by selecting whether level matching between both tapes is carried out or not during the dubbbing on the Dolby system by a switch, and performing the level matching between both tapes only when necessary. CONSTITUTION:Sound recording amplifiers 12 and 17 compress signals and reproduce amplifiers 10 and 16 expand signals reversely. When the sound recording of a main tape recorder is performed through the sound recording amplifiers 12 and 18, the dubbing levels (Dolby level) of both tape sound recording and reproducing systems are equalized previously by a semifixed resistance 32 and the dubbing is performed invariably on the Dolby system while the switch 28 is placed on the side of the resistance 32. When a tape with different sensitivity is used, or when sound recording is performed by another type recorder, a dubbing level adjustment between both tape sound recording and reproducing systems of the main tape recorder should be made, so the switch 28 is placed on the side of a volume control 30 to perform the level matching between both tape sound recording and reproducing systems through the volume control 30. |
