PURPOSE:To forcedly neutralize the automatic change gear when operating the means of stopping the car at a speed below the set value, and prevent the reverse rotation of an output shaft and the backing of the car on restarting. CONSTITUTION:An automatic change gear consists of a liquid torque convertor 2, a first planetary gear system 9 and a second planetary gear system 10. When output signals are emitted from a car speed sensor which detects the car speed below the set speed and from car-stopping opeation detecting sensors 55 and 56 which detect the operation of those equipments to stop the car and emit output, a controller 52 excites a solenoid 51d to make an automtic change gear neutral while fastening a brake band 24. When a sun gear 14 is fixed due to the fastening of the brake band 24, a one way clutch 22 is operated, preventing the reverse rotation of the output shaft interlocked with an output gear 20, i.e., the backing of the car. |
